Lifton Sea Scout Group

1st Lifton Sea Scout Group aims to help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential. Not just as individuals, but as responsible citizens and as members of our local, national and international communities. As the only Sea Scouts in West Devon District, you will often find us getting involved in water sports such as sailing, kayaking and rafting at Roadford Lake. In addition to our water sports, we offer the full Scout programme which includes opportunities for overnight adventures. The 1st Lifton Sea Scout Group has a great team of leaders who have a fantastic variety of experience in Scouting. The group is always willing to expand the team and welcome new leaders.

Our group currently has one Squirrel Drey (for children aged 4-6 years old), two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs and one Scout Troop. In total we have around 120 young people and over 25 adult leaders. We meet at various venues in Lifton and Liftondown; in the summer months some sections meet at Roadford Lake for outdoor activities.

Please get in contact with us to find out about current spaces and/or to add your child to our waiting lists.
